Like most Texans, Mark Martin has enjoyed BBQ all his life.  However, he grew tired of the poor quality, foreign-made smokers that have flooded the American market that most of us have grown to tolerate and endure.  Mark, an engineer by trade and life-long welder, later came up with a smoker design that borrowed elements of both tried and true design but also added benefits of reverse flow and an insulated firebox.  Old School Metal Works was born. There's something to be said for quality American-made products.  Simply said, our smokers are badass and are all handmade in Dallas, Texas.
